Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Analyst, Tax to join Phreesia’s Corporate Tax Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate income tax and will work closely with the Tax Manager on tax compliance, financial reporting and other tax projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Gather information to support the tax department with all state and local tax matters including sales and use and income tax
  • Assist with monthly US sales and use tax, India TDS and GST and other indirect tax filings
  • Assist with quarterly estimated tax payment processing, reviewing forms and ensuring payments are made timely
  • Monitor Phreesia tax calendar and keep it up to date
  • Support month end close process with accurate and timely preparation of tax account reconciliations
  • Manage notice tracker and assist with follow ups and resolution by corresponding with relevant tax authorities
  • Support tax audits when necessary
  • Assist with the preparation of internal control documents quarterly
  • Perform other tasks for tax special projects and cross-functional projects with Billing, AP and other teams

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • CPA (or CPA equivalent) is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of tax experience, in sales tax or US state and local tax compliance
  • Solid experience in researching and addressing multi-state state and local tax matters
  • Working experience and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to details
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere and meet internal and external deadlines
  • Capable to prioritize workload and perform in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
