The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services team:
RTX Enterprise Services (ES) is looking for a Digital Technologies (DT) Project Cost Reporting Manager to join our Enterprise Services - Applications Value Management Office (VMO). We have rebranded from PMO to VMO to highlight our enhanced focus on multi-mode value delivery, including traditional project management, Agile product delivery, and operational/project financial analysis services.
Our VMO is part of a shared services Enterprise Applications organization and is responsible for leading significant business technology projects that reach across the company. Our projects primarily focus on application development, enhancements, and modernizations. Many are SaaS software implementations & customizations. We also lead targeted infrastructure projects and business process improvements with a digital slant.
This is an exciting new opportunity for the right candidate to drive the project financial management practice as the authority for our $160M portfolio. You will partner with talented Cost Reporting Analysts, Project Managers, and Finance professionals to enable and enhance project financial processes, and will have a measurable impact on project success. As the “go-to” person for financials for projects, you will help make data-driven decisions on the projects you and your team support. You will partner with Finance and other PMOs to improve our overall project financials maturity across Enterprise Services.
What you will do:
Manage a team of 3-4 Cost Reporting Analysts (CRAs), including coaching, guiding, and making project assignments
Act as a point of contact between Finance and the ESA VMO, and also as a Practice Lead for project financial processes within ESA
Act as a Cost Reporting Analyst (CRA) on highly complex projects:
Pull reports of actual costs from multiple financial systems
Collaborate with Project Managers and sponsors on project estimates and monthly forecasting reviews
Manage the tracking of actual costs and forecasts within the Planview tool
Reconcile missing invoices and time tracking discrepancies
Analyze project variances and facilitate rebase lining as appropriate
Participate in efforts to continuously improve and mature our VMO services and evolve our project cost reporting capabilities.
Ability to travel ~10% within US
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically a university degree and 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR in absence of a degree, 12+ years of relevant experience is required
5+ years’ experience with project financial management, including actual costs and forecasts
5+ years’ experience managing teams.
Ability to prioritize and direct work on multiple competing activities
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience developing & managing financial business cases & cost/benefit analyses for DT projects
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel pivots/analysis, SharePoint advanced features, etc.)
Experience with SAP or other ERP Financial systems and Planview Portfolios
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
