Job description

This role is a part-time remote role; we are looking for someone to work 20 hours per week from June - August 2025.

Our platform helps organizations collect, organize, collaborate on, distribute, and analyze their digital content. As we continue to grow we are looking to bring on an enthusiastic and driven Machine Learning Intern to join our team.


Job Description:
As a Machine Learning intern you will work alongside our PhotoShelter AI team, contributing to innovative projects that leverage machine learning to solve complex problems. Your role will involve working closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in developing and implementing ML solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Data Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets to ensure they are ready for modeling and analysis.
  • Model Development: Collaborate with senior ML engineers to design, build, and train machine learning models using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Experimentation and Iteration: Conduct experiments to optimize model performance, explore new techniques, and refine approaches based on project requirements.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document your work, share insights, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, contribute meaningfully to real-world projects, and grow their skills in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in in Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, and deep learning.

Nice to have:

  • Passion for sports or photography
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Prior coursework or projects involving machine learning, data analysis, or AI.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
