Job description

We are seeking a genetic counseling assistant (GCA) who is motivated to support patients through their reproductive journey. Vitrolife Group is a global leader in pre-conception genetic testing, providing innovative services to fertility patients trying to build healthy families. The GCA would work in the genetic counseling department, alongside other genetic counseling assistants and genetic counselors. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in genetic counseling and network with other inspiring genetic counselors. This is a full-time, paid position.

This is position pays $26.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Support genetic counseling services to patients for the genetic tests offered by Vitrolife Group, especially for preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disorders (PGT-M) and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A).
  • Help coordinate the genetic testing process among genetic counselors, laboratory locations, and administrators within Vitrolife Group.
  • Facilitate communication between Vitrolife Group genetic counselors and our client health care providers.
  • Additional opportunities can be provided depending on interest and performance.

  • Superior writing ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and professionalism
  • Willingness to change and adapt to the evolving needs of a company
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both health care providers and patients
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, and excellent skills for teamwork and collaboration
  • Interest in a career path in genetic counseling and/or infertility/ART
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field preferred
  • A minimum of two years employment commitment
