The Job

Koombea is looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Tech Lead Developer to join our development team in Colombia or remotely in all of Latam. As a Technical Lead, you'll be architecting solutions for a wide array of problems. Be part of the development team, making the hard decisions, reviewing pull requests, and adding code to the solution.

What You’ll Do

Develop, review, and maintain codebases for web applications using Ruby.

Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.

Develop and maintain APIs.

Optimize app performance for speed and scalability.

Implement security and data protection measures.

Design and implement data storage solutions.

Deploy web apps to remote environments.

What You'll Bring to the Team

4+ years of experience working as a Ruby On Rails Developer

Ability to write clean, reliable, and scalable Ruby code

Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM

Experience working with Ruby on Rails as well as libraries like Sidekiq and RSpec

An Agile and Scrum Mentality

Testing capabilities

Good understanding of Linux command line

Code versioning (Git)

English proficiency (C1)

Knowledge of GraphQL | Nice to Have

Experience with back-end languages or frameworks like Node.js and Laravel would be a plus.
