LOCATION: Remote

 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Audit Processing and Scheduling Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Audit Processing and Scheduling Specialist to ensure the efficient flow of medical record audits to the processing teams. The Audit Processing and Scheduling Specialist will be responsible sorting workloads for all teams, ensuring work is scheduled before deadlines and equally between teams and work with team leads to ensure all available resources are utilized.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Management:
    • Receive, track, and prioritize payer audit requests, ensuring all relevant documentation is gathered and reviewed for accuracy.
    • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of ongoing and completed audits, including statuses, deadlines, and outcomes.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance:
    • Verify that all documentation complies with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations regarding protected health information (PHI).
    • Ensure proper documentation of all communications and actions related to payer audits for accountability and compliance purposes.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Serve as a liaison between payers, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or follow up on missing information.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and payers to provide updates on audit progress and respond to inquiries.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Generate detailed reports on audit inventory, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for enhancing audit management processes.
    • Report challenges to team leaders and processing managers.
    • Provide Daily reports to VP for status of all projects
    • Support the Account Management team in reporting progress to requestors and adjusting priorities
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate current practices for audit inventory management, suggesting and implementing improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2-Proven experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor and guide others.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Medical Records Auditing or healthcare industry experience
  • Familiarity with team performance tracking and goal-setting tools.
