NonQm Underwriter

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with the most experienced non-QM wholesale lender in the industry. We are looking for an experienced NonQm Underwriter who has a deep understanding of the non-conforming mortgage world.

This role will be responsible for managing the full underwriting process from initial loan sizing through loan closing while ensuring loans comply with company underwriting guidelines and risk tolerance. Working under tight deadlines, the Non-Qm Underwriter must effectively communicate with internal and external customers to efficiently vet and progress transactions while ensuring all deal risks are fully evaluated and mitigated. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are critical to the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be the primary point of contact as a subject matter expert (SME), assisting salesforce and business partners in structuring eligible loans in conjunction with the Company’s third-party originators.
Interpret and provide appropriate loan solutions for Non-QM/Non-Agency loan requests
Analyze borrower’s credit file, collateral, and capacity to ensure creditworthiness
Perform manual underwriting review to ensure the loan meets all product and property guidelines of the Company and investors, as well as compliance with corporate and secondary market investor standards.
Underwrite Non-Agency/Non-QM wholesale/broker loans in a timely manner to ensure the loan meets all product and property guidelines of the Company and investors, as well as meeting all established loan policies, credit limits, and regulatory requirements.
Clear conditions timely
Affirm data integrity on all submissions.
Identify potential misrepresentation or fraud.
Keep up-to-date with all guideline changes and system enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Recent Working knowledge of non-agency/Non-qm underwriting guidelines demonstrated through a minimum of 3+ years of underwriting experience on non-agency/Non-qm products.
Experience of at least 3 years in manual underwriting of Jumbo loans, DSCR, and Bank Statements is required.
High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Continuous focus on the customer experience.
Must reside on the West Coast or within the Pacific Time (PST) zone.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

Base Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000
Plus File Bonus
Dental, HSA, FSA, Medical, Vision
Additional Bonus on closed loans
