Senior Graphic Designer

Job purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who combines exceptional design craft with a strategic mindset to elevate creative work across platforms. In this role, you will lead the execution of visually impactful designs, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with creative and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and cohesive campaigns. You will push boundaries, refine design processes, and set the standard for design excellence.

Job details: 

• Location: 100% Remote – from Costa Rica, Mexico and Colombia
• Type of Contract: Full-time (Remote)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Costa Rica Time Zone).
• Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced / Intermediate to advanced English (required)
• Availability: Immediate start required

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of creative designs that align with client goals and strategies across platforms (digital, social, print, etc.). 
• Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, and other creative team members to deliver cohesive, impactful campaigns.
• Translate strategic objectives into visually compelling designs that adhere to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
• Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them refine their craft and grow their confidence.
• Present work to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence, incorporating feedback to refine the final product.
• Stay up to day with design trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively apply them to enhance creative outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities without compromising quality.
• Refine and elevate the design process to ensure efficiency and consistency across all design deliverables.
  

Required Academic Background:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of professional design experience, with a solid portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence across digital, print, and social media platforms.
• Exceptional design craft, with expert-level understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and composition. A sharp eye for detail is essential.
• Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  
• Advanced proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch is required.
• Good proficiency with PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat for presentation and documentation.
• Curiosity about experimenting with AI tools and emerging design technologies.
• Proven ability to mentor and inspire junior designers, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to properly express concepts to clients and internal teams.
• Thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver exceptional work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Asana, Trello, or Workfront.
• Professional-level English, both written and spoken, with the ability to construct and effectively communicate ideas.
