Jabil is seeking a Senior Manufacturing UI Test Developer who will directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Enterprise and Infrastructure division by applying unique and innovative approaches to solving problems within a large-scale software production environment.   The Senior Software Engineer plays a vital role in developing software solutions that automate the building, deployment, and testing of manufacturing applications. These applications ensure the quality and reliability of hardware products, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process and customer satisfaction. You will directly contribute to the operations and customer facing UI spanning multiple customers and manufacturing regions.  You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and our end customers to ensure your software deliverables meet the rigorous standards of Jabil’s world-class manufacturing environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities:

  • Front-End Development: Implement robust front-end user interfaces using Angular and automated UI testing.  
  • Back-End Development: Develop and maintain highly available back-end services using REST APIs. Query relational and NoSQL databases.
  • DevOps and Deployment: Use DevOps pipelines and Ansible to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Virtualization: Implement and manage Docker container services. Configure and maintain Linux-based virtual machines and environments.
  • Software operations: Optimize application performance and scalability in a manufacturing context.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for software, systems, and processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance personnel, to ensure alignment on testing requirements and quality standards
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in UI technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to keep front-end solutions up to date.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to Management

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular and React with expertise in TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with automated testing using Jasmine and Karma for automated unit testing and code coverage.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Linux development expertise with a solid understanding of its fundamentals: Ubuntu/ CentOS and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker / Docker Swarm.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design and implementation fundamentals (SpringBoot experience preferred)
  • Experience with code versioning tools (Git preferred).
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.  MS preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in developing, deploying and maintaining front-end applications using Angular/React frameworks.
  • Experience developing applications for a manufacturing test environment with enterprise server, storage or networking products preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
  • Domestic and/or international travel, up to 10%, may be required.

The pay range for this role is $103,000 - $185,400. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: June 02, 2025.

As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
