General Description:
The Manager Strategic Customer Contracts is responsible for the implementation of the BeiGene price strategy in business-relevant customer channels/networks with a special focus on the German hospital and manufacturer market. Main functions of the job are supporting and advising key customers in the hospital, wholesaler and nationally organized manufacturing companies for the haematology/oncology product area
Additionally, identification and understanding of procurement and implementation hurdles for BeiGene drugs within the German hospital system are key. She/he will work closely with Customer Engagement, Sales, Medical and Market Access to develop projects and specific offers/conditions that allow key customers to enter a customer relationship with BeiGene. She/he will liaise with and support the regional field teams in implementation of this customer relationships.
Essential Functions of the job:
- Establishing networks and taking care/ being responsible of existing ones
- Responsible for developing economic models and design template contracts to be used with key accounts such as buying groups, compounders, trusts or major hospital pharmacies
- Negotiating terms and conditions with all national accounts at manufacturer and wholesaler level
- Develops mid-to-long range Pharmacy Key Account Plans based on an assessment of buying and strategic potential of individual pharmacies, with a priority focus on compounder, hospital pharmacies and pharmacies co-operating with PBOs
- Turnover, sales and contribution margin optimization through targeted customer analyses and the resulting contract and price/condition? offers for all relevant products within the various sales channels
- Support business strategy through conducting research on needs, hurdles and interests of specific key customer segments (esp. hospitals and certified tumor centers) with respect to implementation of BeiGene portfolio
- Organizes Pharmacy Ad boards; draft and co-ordinate contents with relevant departments and provides feedback on outcome/relevant action items to the functional departments
- Establishes a relationship and maintains a network to pharmacists associations (ADKA, ABDA, DGOP) and at a personal level, to key pharmacists, wholesalers, manufacturers
- Monitors the pharmacy related landscape to anticipate trends and to recognize economic scenarios impacting our therapeutic offerings
- Economic evaluation and identification of business opportunities for the long-term positioning of the overall portfolio; development of business development concepts in the commercial channel area
- contact for contract and billing management to the defined target groups
- Coordination and cooperation with the key account managers with regard to optimized account management of the most important customer
Qualifications:
- Certified pharmaceutical sales representative or pharmaceutical consultant (according to §75 AMG)
- University degree in science or business is advantageous.
- Academic education or experience from similar positions
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Several years’ experience in pharmaceutical selling
- Significant and successful project management experience & sales experience in the pharma industry, especially in specialty / hospital area (hematology / oncology)
- In-depth knowledge of the market and customer structures
- Reliable customer contacts/network in target segment is an asset
- Knowledge of standard pharmacy and manufacturing processes is an advantage
- Track record of successful customer interactions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtual
- Solution-oriented, analytical mindset and capability to move and execute in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment
- High social competence and capacity for teamwork
- Success-, service-, and customer-oriented thinking and working
- Enjoying working in a commercial team and doing project work as well as networking
- Makes things happen has the right level of implementation skills
- German fluent or native speaker, excellent English skills
- Proficiency in MS Office required
- Willingness to travel (50%)
