We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Engineering team. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing seamless, integrated healthcare experiences for both consumers and providers. You will own the interoperability roadmap, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange across registration, scheduling, service delivery, claims, and payments. We are seeking an individual with a deep background in telehealth and interoperability standards and want to apply your expertise to help deliver quality mental healthcare.

*This is a remote position for candidates based in Eastern Time Only. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC*

What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end architecture solutions that enhance the user experience from initial registration through final payment, integrating all touchpoints
  • Define and design APIs and RESTful services that connect Talkspace with external healthcare systems, ensuring efficient, real-time data exchange
  • Own the roadmap for integration capabilities, tooling, and implementation, optimizing Talkspace’s technical infrastructure for growth and scalability
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineering teams to translate user needs into effective, scalable solutions
  • Ensure robust, secure, and compliant integration strategies that align with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, X12, EDI) and industry best practices
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives, managing timelines and ensuring seamless execution across teams and external partners
  • Document architectural designs, system integration maps, and workflows to ensure clarity and maintainability across teams

About You 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems architecture & design with a focus on user experience and API integrations.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing solutions design experience
  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in healthcare. Digital health and/or SaaS experience preferred.
  • Working understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and experience with healthcare functions such as eligibility, claims, and payments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize complex integration scenarios.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • You have deep experience in telehealth and psychiatry interoperability, understanding the nuances of therapy and psychiatric service delivery
  • You are passionate about improving mental health access through innovative, integrated digital experiences
  • You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, where cross-functional teamwork drives success
  • You care about creating seamless, user-first experiences that empower both patients and providers

Bonus Points

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare processes including registration, claims, and payment systems.
  • Experience with commercial or open-source API gateways (Kong, Mulesoft, etc)
  • Experience using FHIR to power consumer experiences

Compensation

At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.

The base salary range for this role is between $150,000 - $180,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
