Job description

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior AdOps Engineer to take ownership of the daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our digital advertising platform. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll ensure the health, stability, and performance of our ad delivery systems - working across DSPs, SSPs, cloud infrastructure and high-availability server environments to keep everything running smoothly.

You won’t be writing code, but you’ll be deeply involved in debugging, investigating issues, managing our Linux-based environments, and supporting internal and external stakeholders. You'll act as the first line of defence when platform-level issues occur, going beyond campaign-level fixes to address root causes and system-wide challenges.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and external partners to ensure ads are delivered accurately, at scale, and with optimal performance. A deep understanding of digital advertising technologies and infrastructure is key.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in AdOps or AdTech systems, solid Linux administration experience, a service-oriented mindset, and a passion for operational excellence.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take full ownership of the day-to-day operation of our digital advertising platform, ensuring smooth delivery and performance across all ad types.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve system-wide issues across DSPs, SSPs, and other ad delivery components.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve platform or campaign-related problems.
  • Manage and maintain Linux-based systems supporting our ad infrastructure.
  • Utilize AWS and other cloud tools for infrastructure monitoring, log analysis, and operational debugging.
  • Monitor and ensure the high availability of platform services.
  • Administer relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.
  • Understand and improve the overall system architecture to prevent future issues and optimize performance.
  • Act as a technical liaison for cross-functional teams, ensuring platform reliability and uptime goals are met.
  • Document processes, playbooks, and known issues to support knowledge-sharing and faster issue resolution.
  • Provide feedback and insights to product and engineering teams on recurring platform problems and potential improvements.

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE

    • 3+ years of experience working in AdOps or a similar role within the digital advertising industry.
    • Deep understanding of SSPs, DSPs, and how online ad delivery platforms operate at scale.
    • Proven experience managing and debugging Linux systems in a production environment.
    • Experience operating high-availability server systems and distributed architectures.
    • Familiarity with managing relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL
    • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure, including monitoring, networking, and basic service management.
    • Initial experience with the Datadog monitoring system is a plus.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills - you enjoy digging deep to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; you’re comfortable interfacing with technical and non-technical teams alike.
    • Operational mindset with an eye for system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
    • Background in system administration or technical support for large-scale platforms is highly valuable.
