Job description

This is a remote position.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Community Engagement Specialist to join our team and help us maintain a vibrant, responsive, and authentic presence across Facebook, Reddit, and other key platforms. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of our social media presence—interacting with communities, joining relevant conversations, and helping to grow our brand voice organically.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day flexible within 8am to 7pm Austin, TX time
  • Focus on community engagement and social media presence
  • Primary platforms include Facebook, Reddit, and other relevant social channels

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily social media engagement across multiple platforms including Facebook and Reddit
  • Like and comment on relevant content to maintain active brand presence
  • Follow and engage with accounts in related market spaces
  • Participate actively in Facebook groups related to the brand’s niche
  • Monitor and engage with Reddit communities where appropriate
  • Support potential content creation initiatives as needed
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media interactions


Requirements
  • Proven experience with social media community management
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Understanding of social media best practices and engagement strategies
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms including Facebook and Reddit
  • Experience with e-commerce or consumer products preferred
  • Reliable internet connection and computer setup
