Altera is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Leader of Management and Leadership Development Programs to design, develop and deliver high-quality learning solutions to support our leadership team in driving towards Altera’s goal of being the #1 FPGA provider in the world! This role is to serve as the thought leader and prime owner of Altera’s manager framework by providing a management development program that is modern, nimble, and efficient in support of our business goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing specific learning objectives and outcomes, designing the requirements to source, select and manage outside vendors to create and deliver to the requirements that produce meaningful results and needed behavior shifts in the organization. This is a pivotal role in the organization and Altera’s managers and leaders are critical to Altera’s success in driving toward our mission to be the #1 FPGA provider in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Organization Development: Develop and implement comprehensive leadership development strategies and programs that align with Altera’s goals and objectives. Improve leaders' and organizations' capacity to evolve, transform, and perform with intention. Lead organizational-wide manager development solutions.

  • Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive management and leadership development programs that support the company's strategic goals.

  • Learning Solutions: Develop and implement a broad range of learning solutions to enhance leader, team, and organizational effectiveness while fostering employee engagement. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in leadership development and incorporate innovative approaches into Altera's programs. Prioritizes staying current with the internal trends, priorities and shifts to ensure consistent relevance to the business. Not be afraid to shift or change priorities.

  • Vendor Management: Identify, select, and manage external vendors to deliver high-quality training and development solutions.

  • Content Delivery: Facilitate and deliver engaging and impactful training sessions, workshops, and seminars as applicable.

  • Measurement, Evaluate and Continuously Improve: Implement robust evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of leadership development programs, using data and feedback to make continuous improvements to refine development programs to ensure they remain relevant and effective in a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of development initiatives with organizational priorities.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on program progress, outcomes, and areas for improvement.

  • Budgeting: Manage the budget for leadership development programs and ensure cost-effective delivery of initiatives.

Salary Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field and 9+ years of experience in:

  • Management and leadership development, preferably in a senior level role.

  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in leading learning programs.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate measurable behavior shifts and results from development programs.

  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Prefer strong capability in innovation, ownership and leading with a sense of urgency.
