Salary Range: $50,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

About the Job:
Creature Studio is seeking a Production Designer to join our studio team and serve as a key contributor to the design practice. As a Production Designer, you will play a key role in driving and developing high quality design materials, artwork and marketing deliverables for a variety of mediums and channels, while also fostering and maintaining the satisfaction of the retained client relationships of our business. You’ll work in a fluid environment with strategists, content creators, design leaders to support and drive the development of industry leading brand experiences and marketing materials.
You should be an expert in the standard design tools we utilize and be able to interpret and apply established design systems to a variety of situations. You’ll be working in a flexible environment that could range from collaborative development with the Creature team or independently with client teams, and in turn should have an ability to take ownership and driving projects as well as being comfortable managing time, tasks and client communication effectively. This role is perfect for a talented visual designer who has an eye for the smallest of details, an ability to develop the highest of quality design in an efficient process, and is excited to flex across a wide range of creative challenges that will not only create stellar brand experiences, but also help our clients achieve their business goals.
What you’ll do…
Build brands and creative experiences
- Participate in team discussions and brainstorms to assess business opportunities with a focus on the impact design can have on outcomes
- Produce design systems, client ready presentations and production ready artwork across both print and digital work spaces
- Research and analyze the design industry and relevant client industries to inform and validate the design development process
- Develop and build upon brand systems from creation through handoff, as well as maintaining and evolving over time with client teams
- Produce brand assets and templates for teams to use within marketing and product development
- Define brands and experiences that are at the bleeding edge of the industry
- Support our client work and internal incubations through on-going design support in marketing, product and sales initiatives
- Support the development of design documentation (e.g., style guides, templates, component & pattern libraries) to ensure the successful delivery of brand & digital experiences
- Development and delivery of a wide variety of end use applications, from print materials to digital marketing to digital UX products
- Take smart risks, incorporate feedback, and continually elevate the quality of your work
You have experience…
- In a brand or design agency environment (2+ years preferred)
- Working directly with client teams to turn brand concepts and mockups into delightful and sticky brand experiences for client audiences
- Translating and extending brand systems across a variety applications, messages and mediums
- Bringing clarity and definition to complex systems or brand experience challenges
- Creating high quality design workflows and end use artwork across industry standard software platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, Microsoft Office, etc) and have the ability and curiosity to continue building on technical skills
- Developing print and production ready artwork for client delivery of brand systems, marketing collateral and design touchpoints
- Creating presentations and pitches for businesses that tell compelling stories
- Experience with or interest in building UX prototypes, developing and extending UX experiences
- Experience with CSS, HTML and web tools (such as Webflow and Wordpress) is a huge plus

- An innate problem solver with an ability to tame the complex
- Self-motivated and can work with ambiguity; little or no direction required
- Comfortable balancing multiple projects and being flexible across a variety of industries
- Collaborative, transparent, and intellectually curious with a healthy balance of confidence and humility
- A strong verbal and visual communicator
