Northside Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will play a critical role in providing psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to any of our 5 campuses. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders in a hospital setting.

This position is 100% Telemedicine. We are seeking physicians who are interested in being on a regular weeknight tele-psychiatry call a few times per month. Priority given to physicians board certified with a GA license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to the hospital for medical or surgical reasons.
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to provide integrated care for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
• Educate and support hospital staff on psychiatric issues, including suicide risk assessment, de-escalation techniques, and psychotropic medications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning meetings as needed.

• MD or DO
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Active GA License or the ability to obtain one.
• Prior experience in Consult Liaison Psychiatry preferred.
