About The Client (AU)

An Engineering surveying firm located on the northern fringe of the Brisbane CBD and offer project surveying solutions to a wide range of construction and building projects across the greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold and Sunshine coast regions. Working with many of the top tier builders at the front of the construction sector

• HighRise & Multi-Level, Residential, Commercial and Industrial, Education, Detail and Contour Surveys, Monitoring
  
  

Primary duties are as follows;

• Survey design calculations
• Drafting of as constructed and detail surveys and providing pdf plans
  
  

Requirements and skills;

• A strong understanding of Autocad or a suitable digital drafting software
• Asset Design As Constructed Drafting (ADAC) - working with .xml file extension (highly desirable)
• The ability to confidently read and understand construction plans
• Minimum 3 years experience working within the construction drafting profession
• Effective time management and professionalism
• Experience working with 3d surface files
• The ability to work unsupervised with minimal touch points throughout the day
• Well spoken English language
• Knowledge of Topcon Magnet (civilcad) software would be advantageous
  
  

An example of design calculations that will be required as follows;

We are contracted to visit a multi-level highrise residential building in two days, where we will be setting out some building features on the formwork to level six. We have provided the building Architects level six slab setout drawing in both DWG and PDF formats. We require some assistance to undertake the following steps;

• Read and interpret information from the plans ( know how to identify key features such as slab edges, walls, columns, penetrations, set downs, wet areas and etc on the PDF drawing and in the autocad model)
• Isolate each of these features individually and place in their own layer
• Delete cluttered layers, such as cross hatching, symbols, text and etc
• Complete checks on the final file by confirming dimensional accuracy from the PDF file
• Rotate the file onto the provided survey datum
• Provide a clear autocad file back to J Surveyors containing the above mentioned features in their own respective layers
  
  

This role is ideally suited to somebody with a strong construction knowledge, together with a good understanding of surveying methodology. This role could also be suited to an individual with Architectural and or Civil drafting experience. This role may also be suited to an experienced Engineering Surveyor seeking an office based role.

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (6AM-3PM Manila Time)

• Permanent Homebased
• Equipment will be provided by Outsourced
• Candidates are expected to have a stable/reliable internet connection at home - minimum speed of 20MBPS (both download AND upload speed)
