Overview
The iCare Applications Analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation and implementation of Epic applications. Utilizes a broad knowledge of multiple iCare Applications, data/workflow, and clinical/business processes to ensure the successful integration between practice and the relevant Epic application. The analyst guides and coordinates other analysts across multiple applications throughout the project life cycle (design, implementation, long-term support). Researches, resolves, and responds to inquiries during the deployment and on-going support phases of the project. Works closely with (and may direct) other Epic Application Analysts, Project Managers, Epic Team members and Trainers to translate clinical and business needs into EMR functionality in a manner consistent with project timelines and budgets.

The Analyst must be able to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis for issue resolution.

What you will do

  • Provide technical and clinical/operational expertise in the design, programming, testing, and implementation of relevant applications while participating in solutions and providing sound recommendations to meet end-user and stakeholder needs. Stay abreast of and follow new developments and events from the Epic Userweb.
  • In conjunction with stakeholders, validate and determine if the problem, need or issue is application, training or technical related. Gather and organize relevant information to resolve the incident.
  • Consistently communicate with Training & Support and reporting areas to keep them informed of upgrades and changes. Serve as an active member of 1-2 Integrated Workgroups (Epic defined formal and informal/ad-hoc).
  • Proactively communicate and keep end users informed of ticket status and resolve within given ServiceNow parameters. Ensure workflow associated with the change is appropriate to the end-user. Participate in formal stakeholder meetings, vendor workgroups and communication channels. Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives.
  • Perform quality assurance, application and integrated testing on all builds. Document testing results.
  • Participate in training development, provide updates needed on existing material and assist with identifying team members affected by changes.
  • Optimize the design of Epic to meet the needs of end-users. Conduct re-evaluation of implemented solutions and workflows. Participate in ongoing change evaluation and support end-users in maintaining changed workflow and technological processes. Maintain awareness of Epic's best practices and adoption rates.
  • Maintain Epic Certification/New Version Training (NVT). Complete system maintenance items as required, timely resolution of Service Catalog tasks and work IT owned WQs. Complete system updates on-time.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree, In Preferred Programs of Study (Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Sciences or Clinical Role) (Required) or
  • Technical License or High School Diploma with 6 years of progressive health care experience, preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network in clinical care or operations (Required)


Experience

  • 3 years of hands-on Epic systems build experience with appropriate Epic training / certifications in at least one application area. (Required)
  • 3 years of progressive health care experience, preferably in an Integrated Delivery Network in clinical care or operations (Required)
  • Involved in 1 or more Integrated workgroups (Epic defined formal and informal/ad-hoc). (Required)
  • Focus on Resolute Professional Billing, Charge Router Workflows and maintenance items.


Skills and Abilities

  • Competency in Resolute Hospital Billing, Charge Router Workflows and charging related maintenance items.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Epic certifications in Resolute Hospital Billing Administration, Resolute Hospital Billing Charging and Charge Router (Preferred)
  • Epic Certification - EPIC within 180 Days (Required)
  • Epic Badge - EPIC within 180 Days (Required)
