YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ
The Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing, reports to the Senior Director, Brand Lead and will be a critical member of the U.S. organization supporting Dompé’s breakthrough therapy, the first and only ophthalmic biologic product (Oxervate) for patients suffering from neurotrophic keratitis (NK), a rare and progressive eye disease. Oxervate’s primary customers are eye care providers (ECPs) who are managing and treating patients with NK which include the Optometrist (OD), General Ophthalmologist (GO), and Cornea Specialist (CS).
The Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing, will be responsible for developing and executing the patient and access brand strategy for Oxervate in the US which includes the development of branded and disease state marketing resources for patients and access resources for patients and payors with a goal of growing the prescriber base and the number of patients receiving Oxervate as well as increasing overall disease awareness for NK. The Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing, will collaborate with agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive set of marketing resources to support patients, payors, ECP office staff, and the field representatives (KAMs, FAMs, PAMs).
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing patient focused marketing campaigns, access materials, and promotional resources supporting brand strategy, a proven track record of successfully working in cross functional teams, will be self-motivated, excited for the opportunity to raise patient awareness about NK and Oxervate, evolve the brand’s value proposition fueling sales growth and contributing to the company’s next phase of development and its mission to commercialize innovative products that improve the lives of patients around the world.
Preference for a Bay Area or Orange County, CA based candidate but open to remote work for right individual.
The core responsibilities of the Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing, Oxervate include:
• Develop and execute a patient focused marketing communications plan which includes, print, digital, and rep delivered content.
• Work cross functionally with PRC (medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance) partners to create impactful and compliant materials that support the brand’s strategy.
• Partner closely with the insights and analytics team to understand and build out the “patient journey.” Leverage the patient journey work to inform patient strategy and supporting tactics.
• Work collaboratively with Director, Digital Marketing to maximize the digital channel to communicate with patients in a targeted and impactful way.
• Be an active participant and make valuable contributions to the annual brand planning process. Participate in all workshops and ideation sessions. Assist with development of final plan.
• Collaborate closely with Director, HCP marketing on campaign (branded and disease state) refreshes or updates to ensure the patient and access perspective is considered.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the current disease awareness campaign on patients and determine appropriate next steps. Perform analytics, run metrics, assess impact, and make a recommendation on how to elevate patient education about NK in a way that motivates them to take action.
• Partner closely with the insights and analytics team to evaluate and garner feedback on patient and access materials.
• Partner with field representatives to understand in office resources needed to support patients. Develop patient resources to support the field. Work with field to solicit feedback on resources.
• Partner with patient services team to understand and develop patient and office staff access resources to support the Field Access Manager team (FAM) and patient pull through resources to support the Patient Access Manager team (PAM).
• Collaborate with access team to understand payor needs. Co-create payor resources with access team.
• In collaboration with the Patient Services team create and maintain all marketing resources promoting and supporting Dompe Care 2 Connect (DC2C) the hub that connects patients prescribed Oxervate with product.
• Ownership of the patient administration video including refreshes, channel selection, and strategy.
• Collaborate with a Great Team: Work cross-functionally and compliantly across marketing, sales, market access, and PRC to ensure resources and communications are meeting the needs of customers (patients & payors) and identifying new opportunities to improve the customer experience.

YOU COULD BE THE PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
• A bachelor’s degree, MBA, or master’s level degree a plus
• 8 years or more of pharmaceutical, biotech, med device (or broader healthcare) commercial experience with at least 3 years in Direct to Patient (DTP) or market access roles
• Experience partnering cross functionally with market access
• Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs)
• Recent ophthalmology experience a plus, ideally in anterior segment but not a requirement
• Experience in campaign strategy and development
• A proven track record of self-driven results-oriented work history
• Experience collaborating with market research to gain customer insights that will lead to activities that drive the business
• Self-starter that can readily take action on challenges with an appropriate level of planning
• Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and material approval process
• Experience with cross-functional review committees

• Experience creating resources to educate patients on disease state hallmarks
• Experience partnering with AOR to create impactful campaigns and resources
• Metrics driven mindset, with experience analyzing user behavior & marketing activities to improve customer experience
• Understanding of various vehicles for creating insights and understanding behaviors and needs of target audiences
• Demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for DTP materials an experience with the health care material review process

$175,000 - $210,000 a year
At Dompe, we offer an attractive compensation package to our team members. Any offer would include a competitive base salary (estimate shared above), incentive bonus, and benefits package customary to the position. Actual individual pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
