Description

This role requires working US business hours and some weekends.  
 
We are looking for a Service Delivery Engineer / System Administrator to join our Professional Services team. This junior-level role is ideal for someone with robust Windows and Linux administration skills, network knowledge, and a passion for IT security and automation.  
 
The ideal candidate will help manage patching services, optimize system performance, and support enterprise customers in maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support customers in implementing best practices for system security and stability 
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, security threats, and best practices 
  • Analyse, optimize, and integrate applications and services for improved performance and security 
  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server (2012/2016) and Linux systems 
  • Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, FTP, proxy, TCP/IP, VLANs, and group policies 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and issue resolution 
  • Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers 
 
Required Skills & Experience: 
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems 
  • Experience with WSUS for managing Windows patch deployments 
  • Understanding of network technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, etc.) 
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 administration 
  • Basic Linux system administration skills 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a problem-solving mindset 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies using documentation and online resources 
  • English proficiency (Excellent in speaking, reading, and writing) 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cloud experience (especially with Azure) 
  • Experience with MS SQL Server 
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or Bash scripting 
  • Understanding of cloud-based, multi-tenant applications 
  • Familiarity with Scrum methodology and Agile principles
