RSAC seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Community Manager to help grow, energize, and support our fast-scaling online community. In this role, you’ll build relationships with our members, drive engagement across sub-groups and programs, and play a key role in shaping the culture of our digital space. You’ll work closely with content, marketing, and product teams to deliver meaningful community experiences that create value for members and drive outcomes for RSAC. This role is perfect for someone who’s community-first, strategic, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

In this role you will:  

  • Welcome new members and help them navigate their journey in the community. 

  • Manage multiple role or topic based sub-groups and ensure conversations are active, inclusive, and aligned with community goals. 

  • Design and lead member-facing programs (e.g. peer groups, leadership cohorts, community advocacy, AMAs, etc.). 

  • Surface trends, insights, and community feedback to internal teams to help inform content, marketing, and product decisions. 

  • Identify and elevate member voices, championing UGC and showcasing the expertise of our community. 

  • Moderate posts and enforce community guidelines with consistency, transparency, and empathy. 

  • Partner with superusers to support member-led initiatives. 

  • Track engagement metrics and program performance, and use data to guide future experiments. 

  • Collaborate with other Community Managers to create a cohesive member journey and strong cross-group alignment. 

  • Bring fresh ideas to keep the community vibrant, valuable, and member-powered. 

Your profile:  

  • 3+ years experience in community management, online engagement, or audience development (bonus if you’ve worked with fast-scaling or B2B communities). 

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Experience running structured user programs or events in a community setting. 

  • Strong instincts for relationship-building, community culture, and what makes people feel like they belong. 

  • Comfortable with moderation, conflict resolution, and upholding community standards. 

  • Experience using community platforms (e.g. Discourse, Slack, Circle, etc.) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Teams. 

  • Organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple groups or initiatives at once. 

  • Collaborative mindset—you love working with cross-functional teams and building things with others. 

  • A curious, empathetic, community-first thinker who knows how to scale connection, not just content. 

  • Please be aware that although this is a remote position, to be considered for the vacancy, you must have residency in one of the following states.  

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington 

Bonus Points  

  • Experience with cybersecurity audiences or technical communities 

  • Experience in start-ups or with 0-1 products at established organizations 

  • Proven track record of working effectively in a remote environment
