Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert I

The role

This role will focus on designing, developing and maintaining the legal taxonomy for LexisNexis US legal across a broad range of practice areas to meet all customer and product needs. It will require the creation of legal classification rules to categorize LexisNexis content programmatically and may entail work on LexisNexis legal thesauri and dictionaries in support of Search Relevance

Education, skills and responsibilities

• Licensed attorney in at least one US jurisdiction
• Broad knowledge and understanding across numerous legal practice areas
• Appreciation of how different customers might browse or filter results via a taxonomy structure and the ability to organize legal information in a consistent, clear and intuitive way
• Experience and aptitude for using all MS Office products
• Aptitude for assessing quickly and accurately how relevant a legal topic is for document search result
• Good technical ability and an aptitude for learning several proprietary taxonomy management and classification systems
• Interest in LLMs (Large Language Models) and machine learning
• Excellent attention to detail, knowledge of LexisNexis legal content and a sensitivity to the nuances of language
• Home-based role
