How you can make a difference:

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for providing direct sales activities along with product support and training to end-users of Hamilton Medical products both inhouse and field based and is responsible for meeting performance sales targets provided by the Country Manager France.

  • Ensure the overall vision and strategy of Hamilton Medical is understood

  • Maintain a continuous update of our CRM system including Customer Database, Product Information and Opportunities

  • Develop an understanding of the key issues and market potential within your territory, with regular action plans and new lead generation

  • Develop and adhere to a structured time & territory management plan

  • Maintain regular visits/contact with existing and new customers

  • Establish and maintain direct contact with key stakeholders

  • Understand the key issues within your territory

  • Organise and run regular workshops / seminars / exhibitions / mailings to develop sales opportunities

  • Provide first hand feedback of competitive strategies and tactics, service quality, product usability etc.

  • Acquire and maintain complete up to date knowledge and information concerning competitors products and services

  • Complete all paperwork on time and to a high standard as required by the company

  • Document all communications with customers, in accordance with current company guidelines

  • Follow any processes and procedures to ISO 9000 requirements or as directed by Health & Safety legislation

  • Assist and support Service & Sales Managers in their duties as requested and support local sales partners

  • Must be available to travel throughout France to manage / complete work

  • Must be available to travel internationally to attend meetings / demonstrations / training and participate and attend ventilation congresses in France

  • Comply with Companies Health & Safety Policy

That’s what you bring along:

  • Background in sales, technical, relevant clinical and/or biomedical

  • Extensive experience in a medical sales environment

  • Ability to run long term sales cycles and to deal with short term opportunity

  • Languages: fluent in French and English

  • Excellent computer application skills, specifically MSOffice, CRM Tool, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Full drivers’ licence

  • Professional:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experienced Territory Manager already gained within related field

  • Results driven, self-starter and ability to meet deadlines

  • Customer driven, conducting job function with primary focus on customer satisfaction

  • Public tender and GPO knowledge

  • Proven interpersonal and team skills

  • Knowledge of existing and potential customer base

  • Knowledge of French Law in term of relationship with health stakeholders

  • Financial:

  • Execute activities within the budgetary limits under guidance of the FR Sales Manager

  • Execute sales in accordance with local price policy

  • Adhere to all financial competencies according to Hamilton Medical rules and regulations
