- Annual compensation between $180,000 - $215,000, PLUS an annual performance-based, discretionary incentive. What You Will Do - Essential Functions
The VP, Clinical Operations leads the evaluation of behavioral health clinical staff, ensuring high-quality care and outcomes through the continuous assessment of clinical quality. This role requires a strong clinical operations background, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative leadership style, to drive innovation, challenge status-quo, and encourage continuous improvement. Overseeing the Utilization Management, Case Management, and EAP clinical teams, this leader is responsible for meeting productivity metrics for all functional areas, achieving all clinical outcomes, and maintaining quality standards.
In partnership with the Chief Medical Officer, the VP, Clinical Ops provides clinical leadership to the clinical team members, ensuring alignment with evidence-based best practices in behavioral health and integrated care. This role standardizes clinical operations across the organization, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and excellence to ensure consistency and continuous improvement of outcomes for members and customers of Lucet. The VP, Clinical Ops plays a key role in developing return on investment (ROI) analyses for current and potential customers, demonstrating the value of clinical initiatives.
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead the Clinical Operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee both strategic and daily operations, coaching leaders and team members to drive performance and achieve objectives.
- Clinical Quality & Compliance
- Maintain oversight of clinical criteria, procedures, and policies for managed behavioral healthcare operations.
- Develop, enforce, and standardize clinical policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Data-Driven Innovation & Outcomes
- Utilize data and technology to drive innovation, optimize cost per case, and improve clinical efficiency.
- Leverage data and analytics to standardize and implement evidence-based clinical interventions to enhance member outcomes and service reliability.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary clinical operations contact for clients, ensuring clinical operations align with client expectations and performance guarantees.
- Partner with the VP, Quality and Clinical Strategy and VP, Customer Success to achieve clinical outcomes to meet plan performance guarantees.
Who You Are - Required Qualifications
- A current, unrestricted state license issued by a state or territory of the United States to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse in the state in which the business operation is located and/or other states as required by law, regulation or contract.
- 10+ years of clinical experience in a clinical healthcare management role and with telehealth as the predominant practice method.
- Exceptional understanding of the current and future trends in healthcare: healthcare reform, integrated care and population health management.
- Ability to blend clinical knowledge and experience with business knowledge and experience to create unique strategies for the clinical organization.
- Master level degree with significant clinical and business background in managed behavioral health.
- Must possess high standards of clinical practice with an innovative approach to improving both outcomes and costs.
- Proficiency and experience with clinical informatics.
- Proven results in addressing broad range of diagnostic issues including SUD
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform a highly diverse level of tasks and deliver quality outcomes in alignment with Lucet mission
- Experience in developing creative, innovative solution-based programs and initiatives
- Travel required up to 25%
- Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

- Working Conditions:
- Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
- A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.
- High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting).
