Job description

Who We’re Looking For:

Codeworks is seeking an experienced Network Architect to support our client, on a high-impact, remote-based project. This is a remote, 6-month contract position with high potential for extension, working on next-generation network solutions in a dynamic and global environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and configuration of network and firewall solutions, ensuring alignment with Johnson Controls' architecture standards.

Integrate SD-WAN solutions as part of the overall network architecture.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement secure, scalable, and reliable solutions tailored to business requirements.

Identify and assess IoT/OpenBlu requirements for new site deployments.

Manage vendor-coordinated WiFi surveys for new standardization sites.

Oversee change management processes using ServiceNow, including CMDB updates and incident resolution.

Provide hardware recommendations for procurement based on network configuration and design needs.

Ensure up-to-date network documentation and maintain SharePoint records in collaboration with Verizon teams.

Assist with provisioning and deployment of new internet circuits for standardized sites.

Monitor network performance, address outages, and optimize network operations using tools like SolarWinds.

Offer remote support to field engineers and end-users during and post-installation.

Troubleshoot initial installation issues and resolve customer-impacting faults efficiently, including during off-hours if necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in network engineering and operations.

Deep expertise with firewalls, F5 load balancers, Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies, and VPN.

Proficient with network monitoring, circuit provisioning, and vendor management.

Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and network security.

Experience with technologies and platforms including Cisco, Meraki, F5 Networks, Fortinet, Tufin, Zscaler, and carrier services (e.g., MPLS, VRFs, Ethernet, Broadband).

Knowledge of Meraki SD-WAN, NSX Software Defined Networks, IoT, and wireless security.

Strong Troubleshooting Skills And Experience Supporting Global Network Environments.

Capable of creating and maintaining detailed network documentation and topology maps.

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Ability to work in a process-driven, global enterprise environment.

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $60 and $70. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
