Job description

Location Details: United States - Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

Join our team

We’re a high-impact, collaborative Order to Cash Revenue team that sits at the intersection of key teams within GoDaddy (Finance, Accounting, and Technology). Our mission is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition while optimizing the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process to support GoDaddy’s global financial operations and enable informed business decisions. We support innovation by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and accounting requirements, enabling our teams to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

What you'll get to do...

  • Data Management and Analysis: Own the extraction, analysis, and validation of large datasets using advanced SQL to support reconciliation, reporting, and automation, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
  • System and Process Improvement: Translate accounting requirements into scalable system solutions, lead user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot issues, and manage post-implementation stabilization to enhance core processes.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Maintain and improve internal controls and SOX documentation for system processes, ensuring compliance and data integrity through automated workflows.
  • Financial Operations Support: Contribute to the month-end close by supporting system-driven journal entries, data validation, and reporting, while preparing system-related documentation for audit activities.
  • Continuous Improvement and Documentation: Identify and recommend opportunities to reduce manual efforts and optimize financial systems, while documenting key system processes, data flows, and reporting logic for cross-functional alignment.

Your experience should include...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or accounting systems analysis.
  • SQL proficiency, able to write queries and analyze large data sets from multiple sources.
  • Experience with ERP platforms (Workday Financials preferred) and data/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, SOX compliance, and testing protocols for financial systems.

You might also have...

  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA.
  • Experience working for a global public company.
  • Prior experience supporting revenue recognition systems or complex billing platforms.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Comfort working with engineering and data teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.

We've got your back...  We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave. GoDaddy’s benefits vary based on individual role and location and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
