We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Mid-level Business Development Manager with a strong background in MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling) Sales and onshore operations within the Oil & Gas industry. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep understanding of the drilling services market and a proven ability to develop business in key regions such as Houston, Dallas, and Midland.
The ideal candidate will bring both technical insight and commercial acumen, along with a well-established network in the onshore oil & gas sector. You will be responsible for driving growth through strategic sales initiatives, client relationship management, and identifying opportunities in the MPD space.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business development efforts focused on MPD services and other drilling solutions for onshore operations
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging a strong network in Houston, Dallas, and Midland
Build and maintain long-term relationships with operators, drilling contractors, and service companies
Work closely with technical teams to develop tailored proposals and value-driven solutions
Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification through to contract negotiation and closing
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline development
Qualifications:
3–7 years of business development or technical sales experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on MPD systems and onshore operations
Strong understanding of drilling technologies and services, particularly Managed Pressure Drilling
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the energy sector
Established client base or prior working experience in Houston, Dallas, or Midland
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to travel as needed to support business development efforts
