As a Customs Specialist, you will be the primary contact with Customs brokers and internal customers to troubleshoot import delays and track shipment status. You will also be responsible for supporting the audit of import and export transactions, and for additional special projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Work under/within the US import and export regulations (15 C.F.R., 19 C.F.R., and 22 C.F.R.) and Harmonized Tariff System of the US
  • Review import transactions to ensure timely, accurate and compliant Customs clearance
  • Support import and export post-transaction audits
  • Support duty mitigation activities
  • Assist with collection and reporting of metrics related to Avionics import and export activities
  • Manage day to day correspondence with internal and external stakeholders related to imports
  • Support day to day import process
  • Support Global Trade training
  • Special projects as needed to support strategic goals and GT initiatives

  • Ability to apply critical thinking to analyze and apply regulations to various import and export business processes and functions
  • Customs entry writing experience
  • The ability to identify issues in a process and develop creative solutions
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP
  • Experience interpreting or managing policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, while escalating more complex issues as needed
  • Passion for customer service and the ability to work autonomously to drive results
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple goals, plans and milestones
  • Proactive, responsive, self-motivated, receptive to change

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
