Ameresco has a new opportunity for a Controls Technician to join our Smart Building Solutions team based in Bradenton/Sarasota/Tampa area. The successful candidate will work on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of technical functions, such as programming, integration, system startup, service, commissioning, owner training and project record documents.
Ensures client expectations are met and takes a lead role in developing client relationships.
Establishes and maintains open communication with clients, and project manager, to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.
Assists with the development and improvement of related processes, procedures, and tools.
Reinforces safe work practices, and ensures all safety requirements are adhered to, in accordance with the safety program of the Company.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with HVAC controls or building automation control systems in commercial building applications.
Previous work experience with building automation systems. Specific experience with systems manufactured by Automated Logic, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Reliable, Computrol, JCI, Siemens, Trane, and/or Tridium are preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
Basic technological proficiency and familiarity with iPad operation.
Basic understanding of electricity and electrical circuits.
Previous experience with troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and programming building controls systems.
Valid driver’s license in good standing and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Experience with Bacnet, LON, or Modbus.
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry and move objects up to 50 pounds.
