Sr. Oncology Data Specialist

Analyze and abstract detailed clinical and administrative data from the medical record to meet hospital, accreditation, and regulatory agency requirements. Initiate and perform required follow-up activities to assist in improving clinical outcomes. Serve as professional expert resource for registry staff. Assist Lead ODS in training new staff members. Develop detailed reports and assist in data submissions, as requested by Lead, Manager or Director.

Required Qualifications: Sr. Oncology Data Specialist

 

Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification required.

 Minimum of four years experience working as a CTR/ODS required.

 High school education or equivalent required.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Sr. Oncology Data Specialist

 

 Associate's degree in a health related field preferred.

Completion of formal cancer registry training program preferred.
