Position Purpose
As a Bilingual Interviewer, you will play a vital role in supporting clients who have faced hardships and mistreatment while navigating their journey into and within the United States. You will conduct empathetic, professional interviews—typically five per client—to gather comprehensive information about their experiences. Your ability to establish rapport quickly and communicate with clarity is essential to ensuring an efficient process that truly captures each client’s story. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

Starting at $7.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct in-depth interviews with clients to obtain detailed accounts of hardships and abuse, facilitating the accurate and compassionate documentation necessary for declaration writing.
-Follow a structured questionnaire in English while engaging with clients in Spanish, ensuring consistency and completeness of information.
-Submit completed questionnaires for review by the Team Lead; coordinate follow-up interviews as needed to gather additional details.
-Upload all approved client documentation into the case management system promptly and accurately.
-Maintain up-to-date records of interview statuses and client interactions, ensuring timely progression of case tasks.
-Escalate sensitive or complex client situations to leadership, especially when dealing with dissatisfied clients or emotionally charged circumstances, handling each with professionalism and empathy.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
-Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (B2-C1 level) with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
-Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to listen actively and ask relevant follow-up questions.
-Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documenting responses and case information.
Ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple interviews and data entry simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
-Adaptability to changing priorities and a dynamic work setting.
Minimum Requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may be considered.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software tools.
-Previous experience conducting interviews in challenging contexts, such as with vulnerable populations, children, or families, is preferred (law firm experience is not required).
-Background in psychology, social work, education, or community services, especially involving crisis management, trauma-informed communication, or conflict resolution, is highly valued.
