About the Role

As Telematics HW Project lead, he/she will be responsible for the HW development of Telematics platform/customer programs with the support from internal cross-function team members and external suppliers, co-work with CPM and ECE team to ensure the high quality and on time delivery.



What You Will Do

  • Work together with global teams in Germany/US/Korea/China for the internal platform development and global customers.
  • Work together with CPM or PM team to define the HW development schedule and commitment of delivery. Regular report to CPM or PM team to show the HW status and health.
  • Breakdown the tasks and assign to internal or external teams with regular tracking.  Identify the high-risk items and make mitigation plan with team during the whole development phase.
  • Ensure the HW quality, schedule within planned cost and engineering efforts.
  • Work with HW Qualification team to ensure the product compliant with regulation and customer reliability requirement.
  • Work with Advanced manufacturing team to ensure the design fits production and support them define the manufacturing test specification.
  • Manage the ODM suppliers who design and produce wireless products for Harman. Review technical reports and verify/qualify samples in each sample phase.
  • Support the Quality team to solve the failures found from manufacturing plants or in the field.
  • Leadership, Collaboration and Results Driven are more important during the work.

What You Need

  • More than 8 years’ experience in HW development with wireless application like Cellular. BT/WIFI/GNSS, including all steps such as pre-studies, development, and certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree with E&E or RF major.
  • Experience on automotive development process, and qualification standards.
  • Familiar with the wireless product certification process for global market.
  • Experience on the multiple antenna integration.

What is Nice to Have

  • Nice to have the experience of developing RF products for Automotive.
  • Nice to have the experience of antenna design and testing on latest generation mobile phones.
  • Nice to have the experience of GCF/PTCRB and MNO certification (both conductive and OTA).
  • Nice to have the PMP Certificate.

  • Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.
  • Be willing to work in a manufacturing facility in Pune for trouble shooting.
