    • Annual compensation: $145,000.00 - $155,000.00, with bonus potential.

Position Overview:  The Director of Quality, Safety, and Clinical Training is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of care, patient safety, and clinical training programs within our outpatient behavioral health organization. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring that our services are delivered at the highest standards, aligning with regulatory requirements and best practices, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources according to organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations. Determines staff qualifications and competency:  recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards.  Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of patient safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Enhances and maintains performance metrics, dashboards and reporting systems to track clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and service efficiency.
  • Develops, implements and monitors quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care. Conducts regular safety assessment and root cause analyses to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Develops and monitors incident reporting systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of patient safety concerns. Provides leadership and guidance in response to safety incidents, including coordinating investigations and corrective actions.
  • Leads regular quality audits and accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulation (e.g., CARF state licensing).
  • Collaborates with clinical leadership to integrate evidence-based practices into clinical protocols and treatment plans.
  • Facilitates workshops, seminars and other educational opportunities to promote a culture of learning and professional growth. Collaborates with leaders to identify training needs and create tailored development plans for clinicians.
  • Works closely with leaders to align quality, safety and training initiatives with organizational goals. Serves as key liaison between clinical staff, administrative teams, and external stakeholders on matters related to quality, safety and clinical training.

 

Other Duties:

  • When necessary, represents Family care Center in meetings with regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies and professional organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility:

 

  • Up to 5 direct reports as programs are developed.

 

Travel:

 

  • Occasional local and out-of-state travel required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Seven years’ experience in quality improvement, patient safety or clinical training within a healthcare or behavioral health setting, with at least three years’ experience in a leadership position, required.
