The Ultrasound Technologist will play a significant role in ensuring the successful implementation and quality of Intestinal Ultrasound (IUS) central reading services in clinical trials, focusing primarily on providing support on clinical trial imaging site feasibility, training and technical site equipment troubleshooting support, as well as technical guidance to various stakeholders in achieving high quality IUS image data.
By taking on the role of Ultrasound Technologist for IUS central reading services, the incumbent will contribute to the successful integration of this innovative imaging modality into global IBD trials.
Site Feasibility and Quality Assurance
Collaborate with the study team to verify trial sites meet minimum criteria for selection.
Support evaluation of site capabilities to ensure adherence to imaging protocols and quality standards.
Conduct and analyze ongoing quality checks of imaging data to maintain high standards throughout the trial lifecycle
Intestinal Ultrasound Training Support
Support the development and delivery of training programs for site and/or CRO (Alimentiv or lead CRO) personnel to perform IUS procedures accurately and consistently (virtual / on-site).
Provide comprehensive training on proper patient positioning, imaging techniques, and protocol adherence.
Address questions and concerns from site staff regarding IUS procedures and protocol requirements.
Intestinal Ultrasound Technical Expertise
Possess a deep understanding of current Intestinal Ultrasound techniques, equipment makes and models, and imaging protocols specific to IBD trials.
Offer guidance on optimizing image quality and acquiring relevant anatomical views for accurate assessments
Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the study team, including Clinical Project Managers, Imaging Scientists and Central Readers, to ensure seamless integration of IUS central reading services into IBD trials.
Serve as a point of contact for site personnel, addressing queries and providing ongoing support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or master's degree with 4-6 years of related experience
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent is required
Clinical Trial experience preferred
Proven experience with a mix of ultrasound machine models
Working Conditions
