About the Role

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the utilization process is through, organized and streamlined in order to optimize length of stay for our clients. Given the complex nature of insurance, it is crucial to provide organized, timely communication with payors so that families can focus on what is most important, getting their loved ones access to the care they need.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees all functions of a regional UR team (8-10 employees), reporting to the UR Director
  • Providers weekly supervision to team and collaborates at a high level to staff complex cases
  • Monitors team KPIs and provides real time feedback to teammates who may need additional support
  • Collaborates interdepartmentally to maintain efficient workflows and processes
  • Partners with director on projects, change management and initiatives for the UR department
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing 
  • 2+ years in UR or a related field in a fast-paced high volume environment
  • 2+ years experience working with young adults and adolescents preferred. Experience in the mental health field is preferred. 
  • 1+ years in a junior leadership role (Senior UR or Lead role)
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding KPIs for authorizations 
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and listening skills, with a natural, consultative approach
  • Ability to energize, communicate and build rapport in all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrable ability to manage details in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience advising, presenting to and persuading senior corporate personnel

Additional Information

The total target base compensation for this role will be between $75,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to base compensation, this role offers a target performance-based bonus. The target total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, will be up to 10% of their salary per year (based on individual, team and company performance). Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
