Job description

Role:

As a WFM Functional Consultant, you will leverage your deep understanding of Workforce Management concepts and systems (including labor forecasting, scheduling, and timekeeping) within domains like Retail, Fuel, Restaurant, or Warehouse to provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure quality design, development, and testing, document needs and opportunities, and actively participate in implementing and configuring WFM solutions using industry best practices. Your strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, coupled with your ability to troubleshoot complex issues and proactively identify root causes, will be crucial in supporting successful project implementations, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving value for the service delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a cross-functional capacity to support quality design, development, and testing
  • Document any development or integration needs and/or opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members to complete project assignments by set deadlines
  • Provide support and documentation to ensure the success of a project and the satisfaction of the client
  • Participate in team to implement and configure solutions utilizing industry best practices
  • Minimal travel could be required

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience working with technologies including but not limited to labor forecasting, schedule optimization, time keeping, warehouse, restaurant or payroll systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify gaps and propose alternative solutions
  • Able to relate real world experience to work situation
  • Critical appraisal of input, understand the desired output
  • Troubleshooting logic, Creativity in problem resolution
  • Move beyond following instructions (understand the intent, the real reason for the issue)
  • Domain knowledge in WFM concepts(depth in one of the following areas: Retail, Fuel, Restaurant, Point of Sale, Warehouse, Omnichannel, ECommerce)
  • Knowledge of APIs and tools (Postman)
  • VPN, FTP, RDC
  • Can mine data from database. Can run SQL queries
  • Postman (API calls)
  • Expertly utilizes support tools (Zoom, JIRA, Salesforce.) to expedite case resolution
  • Provides functional and/or technical support during a customer’s product implementation and "go-live" periods. 
  • Understands business features and functionality to be provided by the product. 
  • Works in a cross-functional capacity to support quality design, development and testing. 
  • Should be able to investigate all angles and identifies the root cause to solve a variety of problems. Proactively evaluates and promotes the same outlook in the team
  • Proactively strives to add value to the service delivered keeping in mind the underlying customer’s needs. Is aware of the financial implications of his/her actions and act appropriately
  • Is aware of the potential of his team and supports team to develop new skills. Resolves conflicts effectively and delegates effectively.
  • Plans and co-ordinates routine activities and also does contingency planning.
  • Liaisons and networks with stakeholders outside the immediate team to facilitate team or business objectives. Encourages an atmosphere where teamwork thrives
  • Willing to learn new things and take on challenges provided with positive outlook and look forward for every new opportunity as learning opportunity
