Job Summary

Rivia Mind Psychotherapists provide clinical social work services and psychotherapy to patients through a primarily telehealth environment. Our practice leverages clinical experience and a diverse knowledge base to provide quality care and reliable service. This individual will utilize their expertise in Psychotherapy modalities (i.e. CBT, MI, DBT, etc.) to provide access to reliable, quality care in the communities we serve.

Anticipated Start Date: Based on the length of the interview process, the candidate chosen, their resignation period, and our needs, we anticipate it will be between 14-60 days from extending an offer. The target range to start is May - July 2025. 

We are looking to hire one (1) Therapist who already has an MA license and is willing to get a CT license. We offer reimbursement for acquiring a Connecticut Licensure for this role specifically. 

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent quality clinical care on a consistent basis that exemplifies Rivia Mind’s culture, values, and guiding principles
  • Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop curated patient-centered treatment plans
  • Provide appropriate Psychotherapy practices that leverage various modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc.)
  • Provide clinical support & counseling to diverse patient populations in a telehealth environment
  • Service and maintain a weekly average standard of 31 patients
  • Coach patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provide therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes
  • Counsel and provide crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems
  • Comply with clinical standards and adhere to timely and thorough session note documentation
  • Participation in Rivia Mind supervision groups, trainings, and attendance of department and organization meetings
    • Weekly Group Supervision - case discussion, knowledge sharing, guidance, etc. 
    • Frequent 1:1 Supervisor/Supervisee meetings
    • Weekly Clinical-Wide Meeting - case presentations, guest speakers, training, etc. 
  • Promote a friendly work culture that encourages a fun, collaborative, and co-learning environment that benefits individuals' well-being, self-improvement, and potential
  • Perform other related role and team function duties as assigned by department and group leaders
Qualifications

Required Education Level: Master's

Education Details: Master's in Social Work or a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related graduate degree

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) - OR - LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) – Massachusetts State Licensure
  • Additional State Licenses preferred in our States of Operations (CT, FL, NY, NJ)
  • Modality Certifications preferred

  • At least one (1) year of experience practicing Psychotherapy
  • Experience or desire to work with Couples is a plus
  • Confidently and efficiently document concurrently within patient sessions
  • Experience working with Patients in an Outpatient setting

Compensation & Employment Details

Pay Range: $60,000 - $74,000

Bonus Potential: Up to $1,000 per quarter

Work Schedule

We collaborate with each provider to determine a mutually beneficial and sustainable schedule. Our focus is to develop a supportive schedule that meets both the needs of our patients and the providers' preferences. 

  • Our operating hours are M-F: 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Include at least four(4)+ hours within your schedule, which should be after 5 pm on a weekday or have hours on the weekend. 
  • On-call is also not required, but checking and responding to emails on unscheduled days is required unless on PTO.
  • Having a consistent weekly schedule is necessary, but start and end times per day can be different each day of the week, as a set recurring schedule.

Your schedule will be determined with you before starting the role.

Occasional flexibility may be needed to accommodate patient needs or support the growth of your caseload—such as scheduling initial consultations, managing urgent concerns, coordinating care with the broader team, and completing other responsibilities.
