EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Water Quality and Environment team have an opportunity for you to join as a River Insights and Improvement Manager.
In your new role as a River Insights and Improvement Manager, you will be central to our River Protection team, transforming river health and providing valuable insights. You will work with external and internal stakeholders, enhancing performance and driving the success of our river programs.
You will lead projects on Bathing Rivers, River Water Quality, and RNAGs, ensuring effective documentation and management. You will support alignment across programs, provide reliable data for media enquiries, present findings to internal teams, and share project outputs with various audiences, including operational teams, communications teams, regulators, and customers.
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
• Responsibility for running a project ensuring that the River programmes are on track and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• You will need to coordinate and manage a variety of internal stakeholders and external stakeholders ranging from regulatory or partnership work to providing regular updates to the business on progress.
• Lead through the appropriate documentation to ensure effective assurance and programme risks are managed to achieve River Programme outcomes.
• Uses technical knowledge to identify recommended business improvement changes and business growth opportunities including the delivery of a River hub to ensure a one stop shop for River Insights for the business.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to develop and improve your understanding and knowledge of the environment, rivers, water quality, waste assets, networks, or water resources.
Awareness of external drivers surrounding river health is also critical. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential, providing an opportunity to enhance your existing skill set.
Additionally, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are necessary, as you will work with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and other organizations. You must be able to present outputs effectively in both large and small groups. Developing and improving a strong technical and regulatory understanding is also expected.
