When you join PPGNY as the Telehealth Intake Coordinator, you will provide a smooth flow of patients through PPGNY's telehealth platform, for the coordination of patient appointments and correspondence with providers.
Additional responsibilities include:Elicits and records patient and/or provider information and inquiries by following established protocols to resolve or escalate all customer inquiriesAdvocates on the caller/customer behalf to ensure their needs are met and to promote patient experienceDemonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and providers through active listening, empathy, courtesy, excellent customer service and professionalism in a virtual environmentProvide support services related to Telehealth in accordance with federal and state laws and applicable regulationsAssists patients, providers and staff with setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of telehealth processes and services.Manages on-demand patient flow and triageCommunicates effectively with telehealth team, providing support necessary to facilitate the patient’s visit, including any follow-up neededConfirms appointments and registration; verbally contacting patients to aide in completion of registration You have:High School Diploma or GEDExperience working in a fast paced high stress environment, ideally in a healthcare setting Customer service skillsExcellent computer and phone skillsYou are interested in expanding your analysis and knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in our society, and are committed to building and/or deepening your commitment to racial equity in your workAbility to work Monday-Saturday What makes you stand out:Experience with EpicPPGNY's benefits package includes:

Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
