Job Description

Intapp is looking for an L1 Security Associate to join our Information security team. The Security Associate plays a vital role in keeping an organization’s proprietary and sensitive information secure. Also, the Security Associate works inter-departmentally to identify and communicate security flaws in the company’s systems, solutions, and programs while recommending specific measures to improve the company’s overall security posture.

What you will do:

Respond to alerts and carry out triage operations within SLA to determine what type of response, if any, is required.
Use cyber defense tools to continually monitor and analyze systems to identify malicious activity.
Analyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, and effects on system and information.
Perform event correlation using information gathered from various sources within the enterprise to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack.
Stay current on IT security trends and news.

What you will need:

Understanding of the CIA triad and its importance.
A working knowledge of ports and protocols.
Knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux OS (File structure, common tools, troubleshooting and configurations)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A basic understanding of Phishing.
Excellent English language and communication skills.
Basic understanding of end point detection and response tools.
Can read and understand basic CMD, PowerShell and Unix.

Bonus if you have:

Prior Service Desk or SOC analyst experience.
Working knowledge of KQL.
Working knowledge of PowerShell
Security +
A working knowledge of Azure.
Microsoft SC-XXX certifications
