We’re looking for a dynamic, execution-focused strategic thinker and results oriented leader to build and scale our long-term observability strategy for Splunk’s Global Technical Sales Organization —a high-impact team of GTM Architecture Specialists.
In this role, you’ll own the overall strategic execution plan for the go-to-market motions for Splunk Observability. You will collaborate cross-functionally to align on key goals and milestones. Strategically capitalize on Cisco’s global sales force to drive synergy and go-to-market evolution.
If you thrive at the intersection of sales strategy, GTM execution, and cross-org influence, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Define the sales strategy, operating model, and territory design for the Specialists organization, aligned with growth priorities. Partner with Sales Strategy & Planning on goaling, forecasting, and coverage.
- Partner with Sales Ops to define pipeline health metrics, forecast accuracy, and dashboards.
- Product-GTM Alignment: Shape GTM strategy in partnership with Product teams, influencing pricing, packaging, and commercial models that leverage cross-portfolio synergies.
- Go-To-Market Planning: Develop and execute GTM motions to unlock value across Splunk’s core products by driving adoption of strategic plays, aligning use cases and customer engagement models.
- Strategic Partner Engagement: Co-develop GTM plays and joint sales strategies with partner teams, and leverage incentive programs to grow partner-sourced and partner-led business.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Drive collaboration between Splunk Technical Sales, Splunk and Cisco’s global sales engine, partners, product marketing, and enablement to scale growth through joint GTM strategies and account coverage.
- Influence planning, headcount, and resource decisions to support strategic growth areas.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years in Sales and Channel/GTM Strategy, or Sales leadership in B2B software
- Proven experience scaling teams in a matrixed sales environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, collaborating effectively with senior leaders (CROs, VPs, etc.)
- Strategic thinker and doer—comfortable with ambiguity and driving clarity
- Data-driven decision maker, applying sales analytics to inform strategy
- Ability to execute and adapt strategies in a fast-evolving market, especially with product and integration evolution
- Bonus: Experience in post-acquisition integration and/or high-growth environments.
