IS Commercial Sr Product Manager
The Senior Product Manager, IS Commercial drives the vision, strategy, and execution of commercial platforms supporting Trade Promotion, Retail Execution, CRM, and Marketing. This role owns the product roadmap, ensures seamless cross-platform integrations, and optimizes commercial processes through data-driven insights and automation. This leader ensures adoption, business value, and continuous innovation. A mix of product management, stakeholder alignment, and technical acumen is key to success.
Responsibilities / Outcomes
- Define and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational goals to maximize business value delivery from IS commercial products.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial products, from ideation and development to production, maintenance, continuous improvement, and end-of-life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, data, operations, platform, and technology teams (e.g., engineers, UX designers), to drive product success.
- Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators, promptly escalate issues, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Drive agile best practices and ensure that agile frameworks are embedded in the team’s operations.
- Leverage insights, experimentation, and benchmarking to assess and validate product effectiveness, ensuring alignment between business value and industry trends.
Scope (Key Deliverables)
- IS Commercial Technology Strategy Roadmap: Develop and maintain a strategic plan that aligns Commercial technology initiatives with the organization's commercial objectives.
- IS Commercial Product Portfolio: Oversee the lifecycle of commercial technology products, ensuring they deliver measurable business value.
- Technology Experimentation & Business Enablement: Drive innovation and adoption of new commercial technologies, from ideation and test-and-learn pilots to solution scaling and value delivery.
- Performance & Value Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the business impact of commercial technology investments.
- Key Results: Define and deliver against product/business OKRs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expert in product management – Strategic planning, establishing vision, and roadmap for IT Commercial products (Salesforce, Adobe).
- Expert in agile ways of working – Agile practices & frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
- Proven experience in managing large-scale CRM, trade, and retail execution implementations.
- Expert in Salesforce platform ecosystem – Deep knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, CG Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud functionalities, architecture, and best practices.
- Proven ability to oversee and deliver multiple commercial IT projects/products.
- Experience in digital experience platforms (e.g., Adobe AEM)
- Expertise in system integration and API management – Connecting Salesforce with ERPs and data platforms for seamless operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based CRM & commercial technology stacks.
- Knowledge of how commercial platforms optimize business operations.
- Ability to manage budgets and assess the financial impact of IT commercial initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex commercial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams
- Stakeholder management to align IT Commercial initiatives with business goals.
Experience & Education
- MBA or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, analytics, mathematics, or a related field
- 10-15 years of experience working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team to drive product vision
- Relevant certifications in Salesforce, Adobe, Cloud, product management, or agile methodologies are preferable.
