Description:
Quality Assurance Specialist: Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources for an actual task order. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assist in the evaluation. Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.
Task Description:
Serves as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Map Service Center (MSC) operations.
Implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Responsible for supporting Team Lead in delivering and meeting contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Creates MSC work products and deliverables.
Conducts Quality Management for Flood Risk Projects (QR8) on final regulatory products submitted via the Mapping Information Platform (MIP).
Manages and updates tracking files and repositories.
Publishes to the MSC website.

Experience working with FEMA.
Experience with FEMA flood maps.
Familiar with the following products: FIS report, FIRM panels, and initial issuance letters.
Ability to effectively analyze spatial data and document/present findings.
At least 3 years’ experience working on a team.
At least 3 years’ experience using written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
