Job description

Work Mode: Remote

Location: Remote - Chicago, IL

Opportunity

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing showroom sales and managing the sales team within their designated territory. This role involves leading rep agencies, providing training, mentoring, and development to ensure reps achieve their full potential. Key responsibilities include managing account relations, trade professional outreach, event creation, and new product introductions. Responsible for creating a strategic plan across the showroom and builder channels to achieve regional sales goals and additionally collaborates with the Regional Project Sales Manager to drive project sales. This position is crucial for driving sales success and ensuring the growth and development of the sales team within the region.

Specific Responsibilities

  • This territory covers IL, TX, WI, MN, KS, MO, LA, MS, W TN, AL
  • Understand the market, including Kallista accounts and competitors.
  • Identify and communicate trends, opportunities, and challenges for sales success.
  • Communicate job expectations and review job contributions.
  • Manage the rep agency, ensuring they drive all initiatives and regularly evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with top residential designers/builders to drive new specifications through Kallista showrooms and installation partners.
  • Create several high-quality territory events for top showrooms and key designers.
  • Maintain and develop a premier network of showrooms featuring top-tier luxury merchandising and the latest luxury Kallista products.
  • Train showroom staff in product knowledge and effective techniques for selling luxury items.
  • Attending beneficial industry functions.
  • Provide exceptional sales support to all showroom and trade accounts.
  • Manage Sales & CRM processes and maintain an accurate database.
  • Develop and review the annual sales plan and provide insights for monthly sales forecasts.


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years’ sales experience and proven experience managing a team, preferably within the Decorative Building Products industry.
  • Prior experience managing sales results through third party representatives strongly preferred.


Travel

  • This territory covers IL, TX, WI, MN, KS, MO, LA, MS, W TN, AL
  • This requires overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.


Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
