Power Delivery Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Project Manager with experience in transmission and distribution projects for our Power Delivery Project Management team. POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is expanding our capabilities in order to keep pace with our customers’ growing and evolving needs, which presents an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking for an exciting career change. This position is posted in Overland Park (metro Kansas City) with the potential to work remotely from a mutually acceptable CONUS location (please note in the application questions where you prefer to be located). The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings
Roles And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients. Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
- Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project in your portfolio
- Collaborate with project design teams
- Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams
- Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project status meetings with project teams and clients, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take a leading role in building and maintaining client relationships
- Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other divisions within POWER, based on the nature of any particular project
- Travel to client and Company locations periodically
- Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget, and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client relationship development, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline OR 10+ years of professional experience in the electric power and communications industry
- Minimum of five (5) years of applicable industry experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant project management experience
- Relevant experience includes project management and/or lead engineer experience on small- to medium-scale Transmission and Distribution projects
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
- General understanding of transmission systems
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility and/or consulting setting
Desired Education/Experience
- Seven (7) + years of project management experience preferred
- Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region
- Professional Engineering registration or PMP certification, with preference to candidates who hold both.
- Experience in project controls preferred.

Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
