Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Client Manager in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the revenue cycle process for our Radiation Oncology clients, ensuring the smooth functioning of the RCM operations. As a Senior Client Manager, you will manage key client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, compliance, and overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring strong, long-term relationships.
Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs, address issues, and provide updates on RCM performance.
Anticipate client concerns and proactively address potential challenges.
Revenue Cycle Management:
Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
Work with clients to identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve billing accuracy, and increase revenue collection.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS) and client-specific policies.
Reporting and Analytics:
Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the revenue cycle.
Develop and deliver client-specific reports that provide insights on revenue trends, outstanding accounts, and operational performance.
Use data to drive process improvements and make recommendations for enhanced efficiency and profitability.
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve any escalated billing or collection issues promptly.
Collaborate with internal teams (coding, billing, compliance, etc.) to resolve complex client concerns.
Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of denied or rejected claims.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Recommend process improvements and implement best practices to optimize the RCM workflow.
Contribute to internal process documentation and training materials.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, however level of experience in the industry also considered - Radiation Oncology experience preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Revenue Cycle Professional - CRCP, Radiation Oncology Certified Coder - ROCC) preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related healthcare finance roles. Proven experience in client relationship management. Deep understanding of healthcare billing, coding, compliance, and insurance processes.
Data Analytics: Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Client Relationship Management: Exceptional customer service skills and ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Customer service skills: Strong customer service skills to manage relationships with clients, including communicating with them to resolve service delivery issues and promote client satisfaction.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to set and maintain priorities in a fast-paced client-focused environment, with multiple demands and interruptions.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people including other department managers, staff, physicians, patients, and the client.
Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in RCM software and Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics, and process improvement initiatives. Leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Adaptability & flexibility: Should be able to adapt to changes in regulations, technologies, and industry trends and adjust the revenue cycle management strategy accordingly.
Performance Management: Ability to monitor team performance and make adjustments as needed to improve team and individual performance.
