Job description

Here at Capita we currently have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced revenues and benefits professional to join our team as a Public Sector Liaison Officer. As the first point of contact for the public sector partners you will handle incoming escalations ensuring that they are handled efficiently and with great attention to detail, you will investigate the query, gather evidence and provide a swift resolution

This role requires someone with strong knowledge of the service that Capita provides in the revenues and benefits sector, someone with a passion for customer service and the ability to analyse data and resolve queries as effectively as possible

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Examine accounts or claims to ensure that the correct evidence and information is obtained in accordance with the standards required and contract procedures.
  • Investigate, locate and select information required to assure the integrity of claims or data.
  • Assess and make accurate decisions within agreed timescales and in accordance with the contract policies and procedures.
  • Update computer records with information and correspond with customers to obtain the necessary evidence.
  • Provide information and advice in response to customer enquiries

Our world class Local Government Services team supports local councils to improve outcomes and focus on what matters in their communities. Managing tax and other revenue collection, benefits payments, building control support, IT networks, accounting and much more – we make it easier for council teams to concentrate on front line services.
