Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant based in Bulgaria to join our growing international team. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and excited about the opportunity to shape the future of accounting services for digital entrepreneurs, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our accounting operations in Bulgaria—ensuring compliance, optimizing processes, and laying the foundations for a future management role. We’re looking for someone adaptable, with a solid grasp of Bulgarian legislation, company formation, and financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

Ensure all business transactions are reported in accordance with Bulgarian accounting standards and international best practices.
Manage monthly closings, assist with forecasting and budgeting, and support customer billing operations.
Work closely with our team to support the month-end and year-end processes.
Assist in financial audits, including the preparation of financial statements and accompanying disclosures.
Monitor and analyze expense variances, providing insights and reports for internal stakeholders.
Collaborate on the development of internal workflows and contribute to the implementation of scalable accounting practices.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
Solid knowledge of Bulgarian company law and tax regulations.
Experience with company formation and setup is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
A structured, analytical mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
Fluency in Bulgarian and English (written and spoken).
Interest or experience in tech-enabled accounting platforms is a bonus.
Vision to grow into a future managerial role, leading local operations in Bulgaria.
