Job description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects, as directed by the Director of Program Management – Quility Digital or the VP of PM. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams across various departments, including Marketing, IT, Sales, Finance, and Support Services. These teams will also include external stakeholders, such as insurance carriers, reinsurers, and third-party vendors. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with agile methodologies are essential.


The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and works closely with senior management to ensure each project’s scope and timeline align with organizational goals. Acting as the link between leadership and execution teams, the Senior Project Manager will define project scopes, assess resource availability, estimate timelines, and track progress through regular reporting. Additionally, they will partner with Product Owners and Business Owners and actively participate in agile processes to ensure successful project delivery. This role specifically will be focused on the creation and optimization of Digital Insurance Products, so experience in the Life Insurance/InsurTech space is a huge plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create feasible plans that achieve the goals of assigned projects and that align with Quility’s overall business strategy.
  • Combine project management practices with agile development requirements.
  • Assemble and manage project teams by assigning tasks and deadlines and ensure project team members have the supplies and resources they need to complete their assigned tasks on time and within budget.
  • Lead project teams, managing relationships and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Document project progression, including noting victories and defeats to use in future project
  • planning.
  • Organize, facilitate, and manage meetings on an as-needed basis.
  • Actively participate in assisting teams to resolve issues/remove obstacles.
  • Prepare periodic project status reports to update management regularly on progress.
  • Any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the company


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, with five or more years of professional experience in project management.
  • At least three years of professional experience in agile environments.
  • Two plus years working in the Life Insurance/InsurTech space with a good understanding of the insurance product development process.
  • Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Atlassian, and other business-related tools.
  • Professional project management certifications: PMP, CSM, CSPO, other.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects among multiple parties. Insurance and/or digital product build experience required.


Supervisory Responsibility?

Although no one will report to the project manager directly, this role will require the temporary supervision of other roles/departments involved in completing a project to ensure everyone remains on track to reach project goals.
