Job Summary

The Automation Architect designs, implements, and optimizes automation strategies across our organization's IT infrastructure and business processes. The Automation Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate manual workflows, streamline business operations, and improve efficiency through intelligent automation tools. This role requires expertise in process automation, architectural design, and hands-on experience with automation tools and platforms.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and define the overall automation strategy and architecture for the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify automation opportunities, and create workflows for automating business processes.
  • Evaluate, select, and recommend automation tools and platforms (such as RPA, workflow automation, AI/ML automation, etc.) that best fit the business needs.
  • Design scalable and reusable automation solutions that can be deployed across the enterprise, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms.
  • Continuously assess and optimize automated workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual efforts, and minimize operational costs
  • Partner with development teams, the product owner, business intelligence teams, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful automation delivery and integration.
  • Establish governance frameworks for automation, ensuring adherence to best practices, security, compliance, and maintainability.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting systems in conjunction with the business intelligence team and finance to measure the success of automation initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in automation, and introduce innovative solutions to the organization.
  • Documentation: Document automation processes, standards, and best practices for both development and operational teams.


Job Qualifications


Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field -OR- equivalent experience.


Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation, process optimization, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the MSP industry.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in various technologies related to the MSP industry
  • Proven experience with automation tools (e.g., RPA platforms like Rewst, PIA, or ConnectWise Atomate; workflow tools like Zapier or Microsoft Power Automate).
  • Strong understanding of software development, scripting, and coding languages (e.g., Python, Java, or scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud platforms and automating cloud infrastructure, specifically within Azure but familiar with AWS and Google Cloud
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and how they can be used to automate decision-making processes
  • Process Mapping and analysis skills to identify automation potential.
  • Experience with AI-based automation tools and robotic process automation (RPA) (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering (BPR) and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management practices. (Preferred)
